Grant-Valkaria is a rural community in southern Brevard. It is home to the Valkaria Airport (which holds the Valkaria Air Fest each year), the county owned Habitat Golf Course, and the famous Grant Seafood Festival (held annually the last weekend in February). Incorporated in 2006 by the previously unincorporated communities of Grant and Valkaria, Grant-Valkaria is comprised of nearly 3,500 residents over 30 square miles.
Located south of Palm Bay and north of Micco, Florida, Grant-Valkaria is about an hour and 20 minutes southeast of Orlando. Homes here most always are situated on large lots of an acre or more. Both Grant and Valkaria have strong agricultural roots, and there are farms in the area to this day.
Most of Grant-Valkaria is located on the mainland, though VIP Island is the exception. Located in the Indian River Lagoon and accessible only by boat, many luxury bungalows are located on the island.
If you’re looking for a rural area with an old Florida feel, a place to bring your horses, or an island getaway, Grant-Valkaria could be the perfect place for you. Find your Grant-Valkaria home today!
